FINANCE TRAINING
The course will cover the following topics
Risk Management in the "New Norm"
This module contains two elements that fundamentally differ from current Risk Management offerings, and forms the foundations and core element of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Scenario Planning. The first part is Basic Risk Management that is Corporate Personnel based and not Process, IT, or Consultant-based. Crucially, it provides a technique that reveals through Risk/Control matrices how current Risk Maps do not actually provide effective protection to an organisation. The second part is Advanced Risk Management and enables businesses to focus on Emerging Risks rather than the totality of all conceivable risks.
Finance for Non-finance Managers
-
Be confident with the different types of financial reports – including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Accounts and Cashflow statements – and what they are designed to do
-
Be confident about the language of finance in the workplace and not be afraid of the technical aspects
-
Understand the role and importance of budgeting and forecasting and what value they bring to the business
-
Have clarity as to the role finance plays within an organisation and the delivery of its strategic objectives
Cost reduction and Waste Elimination
This training covers the differences between cost reduction and waste elimination. Perhaps counterintuitively, the former - cost reduction - can be counterproductive and even create significant problems for a business post-implementation. However, Waste elimination using Lean principles will always produce positive results for a business. This seminar covers how to apply lean techniques in a business to optimize its profitability in a seriously challenging environment.
Financial Risk Management
Attendees on the Programme will be able to address their Financial Risk Management activities with a thorough and deep understanding of Risk Management rather than just the Financial aspect as financial Risk emerges often from non-Financial sources and origins.
